Expanded Learning Program
Shanél Valley Academy’s Expanded Learning Days provide students with additional time for academic support, enrichment, and hands-on learning beyond the traditional school day and year. Through after-school and summer programming, students participate in engaging activities such as STEAM, arts, wellness, outdoor education, and project-based learning—all within a safe, supportive environment.
Expanded Learning Hours
Transitional Kindergarten
Every operational school day
1:10–5:30 p.m.
Kindergarten–Sixth Grade
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 2:15–5:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 1:20–5:30 p.m.
Summer Program
30 days each year
Late June through late July
7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

We of this Academy, named after the Principal Local Indigenous Village of Shanél, acknowledge with honor the Shóqowa and Hopland People on whose traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands we work, educate and learn and whose historical and spiritual relationship with these lands continues to this day and beyond.
